Born This Way Foundation | Too Faced

The Too Faced Born This Way Foundation has received a lot of hype from the beauty community over the past few months; so I needed to see what all the fuss was about! I picked this foundation up back in September, but I have been putting so many foundations to the test recently that I am just getting around to blogging about it now - (Stay tuned for some more foundation reviews in the next few weeks)!

The Born This Way Foundation is an oil-free foundation that provides full coverage and a beautiful, radiant finish. The formula is infused with a potent combination of coconut water to naturally replenish moisture levels; nature’s resilient alpine rose to brighten the skin’s appearance and promote elasticity; and hyaluronic acid for a smoother, more youthful appearance. It is formulated without parabens, sulphates, phthalates, is also a cruelty free and gluten free product. Who knew that foundations even contained gluten?!

I picked up the shade Vanilla - the third lightest shade in the 12 shade range, and is for fair to light skin with neutral-to-pink undertones. I think that Vanilla is a little bit too dark for me now, as my tan has completely faded, but it will be perfect as soon as my complexion gets a little sunshine in the spring!

As you can see below, the foundation is very full coverage! My favourite way to apply it is with a damp Beauty Blender, as it gives me a completely flawless finish. I have fairly oily skin, and this foundation is by no means matte. Once it sets, it has a very natural, and almost dewy look on the skin. I always set my face with a powder, or else I'm a oily mess by mid-afternoon. When worn with a primer, this foundation has a great wear time - it lasts for 10+ hours and looks great!

The Born This Way Foundation retails for $49.00 for 1.0oz at Sephora (HERE). It is a little pricey for a foundation, but is totally worth the splurge. The 20% off VIB sale that starts this week would be the perfect time to pick this foundation up!
