Glowy Skin & Warm Smokey Eye | Face of The Day

I honestly have no idea how it is already April 15th - time is absolutely flying by! But I am SO happy that Spring has finally sprung in Southern Ontario. Today I handed in the last paper of my undergrad, and had a few errands to run, so I decided to take a little extra time on my makeup and hair this morning! I absolutely love just sitting down at my desk and taking all the time in the world to put on my makeup and create a new look - it's just so fun! Anyways, I got two compliments from complete strangers on my makeup today, which made me super happy, and made me want to share it with you all! The look I went for today was a super glowy skin look, with a warm smokey eye and fluttery lashes. I always wear cool tones on my eyes, so I thought it would be fun for me to do something a little different!

For my skin I used Benefit's Porefessional to prime, followed by Estée Lauder's Double Wear Foundation in the shade 1N2 - Ecru (Review HERE). For concealer, I used NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Vanilla under my eyes, and on any blemishes. I set my t-zone with Rimmel's Stay Matte Powder, set my under eye area with the shades Lyric and Levitation from the Kat Von D Shade and Light Palette, and contoured with the shade Shadowplay. For blush I used Luminous Flush from the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Palette, and used The Balm's Mary-Lou Manizer on the top of my cheekbones, down the bridge of my nose, and across my cupids bow.

Brows aren't my strong suit, but I filled them in with the shade Naked2 from the Naked Basics Palette with an angled brush. For my eyes (my favourite part), I primed my eyelids with Urban Decay's Primer Potion, and used 4 shades from the It's Judy Time Palette (Review HERE). I took the medium reddish brown shade (top row, 4th shade) and put it all over my lid, took the golden neutral brown (top row, 2nd shade) and used it as a transition shade, and took the darker reddish brown (top row, 5th shade) and deepened up the crease and outer v. To highlight my brow bone and inner corner I used a light pink (top row, 1st shade) from the same palette. I then smudged the medium reddish brown shade under my lower lash line, lined my tight line with Marc Jacobs Eyeliner (Review HERE), and used Kat Von D's Liquid Liner (Review HERE) on my lash line and created a small cat eye (however, I have pretty hooded eyes, so it's hard to tell in these pictures). I curled my lashes, applied Estée Lauder's Sumptuous Extreme mascara, and a few Red Cherry Individual Lashes.

Lastly for my lips, I lined them with Sonia Kashuks Lip Liner in Pink Whisper, applied Maybelline's Lipstick in Nude Lust (Review HERE), and topped it off with NYX's butter gloss in Eclair.

Not all of the products I used were photographed, but I hope you enjoy this post! I've never done anything like this before, so let me know if you like FOTD Tutorial Posts?
