January 2015 Favourites

I don't know how I managed to write 7 blog posts this month, but I am certainly proud of myself! I thought I would finish the month off strong with a beauty favourites post - I have never been consistent with posting monthly favourites posts, but this year I am going to do my best to post my favs at the end of every month! I personally love to read monthly favourites posts as they are mini reviews of products that people have been loving, and they also include both new beauty releases and old beauty products that have been rediscovered! Everyone always blogs about the best new thing, and I find that old and amazing products are often forgotten about!

This month, I made quite a few new discoveries. While I was in New York City I picked up Garnier Fructis Style 's New De-Constructed Texture Tease Dry Touch Finnish Spray (what a mouthful, aha)! I'm not sure if this is available in Canada yet, but this finishing spray adds volume and texture to my hair and I absolutely love it! It also smells like the L'Oreal Kids Tangle Tamer that my mom used to use in my hair after swimming lessons, so it brought back some childhood memories, aha.

For skincare, my obsession continued this month with both Bite Beauty's Agave Lip Mask (full review HERE), and VICHY's Normaderm Night Detox (full review HERE). Makeup wise, I have been using VICHY's Idelia BB Cream in Light on a daily basis and I really love it! It has a tonne of benefits for the skin, looks natural, but provides enough coverage. I have a review on the VICHY Idelia line coming soon!

Since Christmas, I have been using the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Palette, and I haven't touched another blush since! I'm sure you've all seen it, and know all about it, but the blushes are seriously amazing. However, I'm probably still going to post a full review on the palette within the next few weeks, because my obsession is real. I also picked up The Balm's Mary-Lou Manizer while I was in New York City, since The Balm isn't available in Canada and it is honestly the prettiest champagne hilighter!

Lastly, my perfume favourite of the month is Elizabeth & James Nirvana Black! I have been lusting over this perfume for the past 6 months, and I received it for my birthday. It is a beautiful warm scent, with the top notes of violet, sandalwood, and vanilla. I prefer it over the Nirvana White, and I just can't get enough! This is definitely going to be a favourite for months to come!

  1. I like Texture Tease too! It gives my fine hair mega volume and it is so inexpensive. One of my favourite new products and yes, its available in Canada. I picked mine up at Walmart. Oh how I wish The Balms Mary-Lou Manizer was available in Canada!! Thanks for the nice review :)
