A Year In Review: 2014

Happy New Year! A "Year In Review" blog post from 2013 has been sitting in my drafts on Blogger for the past 365 days, as I came down with a super nasty cold on New Years Eve last year, and never got around to finishing the post. This year, I promised myself that I would actually post one, and reflect on the past year. 2014 was filled with highs, and lows, happy times & tears, but it was a year to remember & I am super grateful for all of the amazing opportunities that I was given this past year! I hope that 2014 was good to you, and that 2015 is even better! So without a further a due, here is my past year in a blog post!

January - 2014 came in fast and brought in -40 degree temperatures walked! I walked around like an eskimo throughout most of January and I was super thankful for my giant scarf from Roots! January also marked the first time I was back on the ice. I never talked much about this on my blog, but from June 2013 - January 2014 I was recovering from a serious back issue. Basically, I had a dislocated pelvis, and I was in so much pain that I even blacked out at a doctors office in September! Anyways, I have been a figure skater for my entire life, and being off the ice was super hard for me. I was finally cleared to skate (with my brace on) halfway through the month.

February - February was a pretty uneventful month. In February my family took a trip to Toronto and went to the Old Spaghetti Factory and Ripley's Aquarium - you can read more about my experience (& watch my vlog!) HERE.

March - On March 7th, Collin and I celebrated our two year anniversary! You can read more about our anniversary HERE and watch "The Boyfriend Tag" we did together HERE. We also celebrated St. Patrick's day together!

April - On April 25th, Murdock Talks turned one, so I had my first blogiversary (HERE)! I also began to study for the LSAT's (Law School Admissions Test) in April.

May - I chopped off my hair (HERE), went to Dundern Castle with Collin (HERE), and went on a family getaway to Ohio - I went a little crazy with shopping, so you can check out my first haul video HERE.

June - I was working full time as an Administrative Assistant for my 5th summer in a row. I also randomly won tickets through my landlord to a TFC Game, so Collin and I went downtown to watch the game!

July - My family, Collin and I participated in a Colour Me RAD run (HERE), I experimented with pink hair chalk (HERE), and I spent a week at my cottage with my family.

August - August was a month full of fun - Collin and I went to Boots & Hearts (a country music festival) for our second summer in a row (HERE), I began to practise acro yoga (a post on my yoga journey will be up in the next few weeks), and we took a trip to a Lavender Farm, Terre Bleu (HERE).

September - I went back to school to finish the 4th year of my undergrad degree in Communications and Legal Studies, and Collin and I began a long distance relationship (he graduated from university in June, and is doing a post grad degree at a college that is 3 hours away from me).

October - I came home for Thanksgiving to spend some time with my family, and we had our annual fall photoshoot (HERE). I also applied to Law School and my roommates and I fostered the sweetest kittens for 6 weeks, you can read about Elsa & Nala HERE.

November - Collin and I spent quite a bit of time together in the month of November, and I  went to a Farley Co event & got to meet Pixiwoo (HERE)!

December - I failed at Vlogmas.. but, Collin & I went to see Dierks Bentley in concert (watch my Vlog HERE), we cut down a Christmas tree with my family, I celebrated my 21st birthday (HERE), and I spent the holidays at home with my family - see what I got for Christmas HERE!

2014 has just flown by, and I can't wait to see what 2015 has in store for me! I wish you all the best in the new year. Happy New Year!
