Luxe Box | Fall 2014

Two weeks ago I received my first Luxe Box! Luxe Box is a Canadian beauty subscription service that sends out seasonal boxes with 7 to 8 trial-sized beauty and lifestyle items. Each box costs around $26.oo (it depends if you pay per box, or purchase an annual subscription) including shipping, and is sent out 4 times a year! Like other subscription boxes, Luxe Box  offers cool upgrades! You can choose to pay an extra few dollars to upgrade your box to a themed box, or add an additional product! This month I chose to upgrade to the Dream & Dazzle Limited Edition Box! The upgrade cost me an additional $6.00 and I was able to see what products I was going to receive. The upgrade takes away the surprise element of subscription boxes, but it guarantees that your happy with what you get!

My Box included 7 beauty items, and overall I was pretty satisfied!

Phyto Paris Phytokératine Repairing Thermal Protectant Spray - Value: $6.40 - I have been using this heat protectant spray after I wash my hair, and I think it's great! It smells, good, and leaves my hair feeling extra soft. I don't think I am going to purchase the full size bottle, as it is quite expensive, and I seem to be going through it fairly quickly! It is available at Sephora for $32.00 (HERE).

LVX Winter 2014 Resort Collection - Value: $16.00 - I had never tried a LVX polish before, but I really like it! It is vegan, cruelty free, has a 5 free formula, a gel like finish and lasted on my nails for 5+ days chip free! I received the shade "Magenta" - but it is more like a deep berry colour (see it on my nails down below!). I'm not sure where LVX polishes are sold in stores, but you can purchase it online HERE.

So Susan Universal Blush - Value: $17.46 - So Susan is new brand to me, but the universal blush is jet-milled to work with your skins natural chemistry to create a universal healthy glow! I don't know if this blush changes colour on my skin, but it does provide a very natural looking flush! I saw on social media that quite a few Luxe Box subscribers received blushes that broke in the mail, so I was relieved to see that mine got to me in one piece! So Susan cosmetics are available HERE.

Vasanti Brighten Up! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator - Value: $5.60 - this is one of the most interesting exfoliaters that I have ever used! When you squeeze it onto your hand it comes out smooth like lotion, but once you start to rub it onto your face, it feels like there are invisible grains of sand! I really like this product, and might have to invest in the full-size bottle once I am done! It is available for $34.00 online HERE.

Burt's Bees Lip Gloss in "Ruby Moon" - Value: $12.99 - I love the Burt's Bees lip balm, but I had never tried any other products from the brand! This lip gloss is full of natural oils, super shiny and highly pigmented! & the colour is perfect for fall! The only thing I don't love about it is the smell, it just smells really natural? aha. You can check these lip glosses out HERE.

Vita Liberata Rapid 4-7 Day Tan Mouse - Value: $13.00 - I just started using self tanner this past summer, and I really liked it! I haven't gotten around to trying out this one yet, as it didn't come with a mit (that would have been perfect) but I have heard so many great things about it - I will let you know my thoughts once I try it out! You can purchase the full size bottle at Sephora HERE.

Loose Button Fan Brush - Value: $2.00 - This is the only item that I was not excited about. The brush quality is pretty poor, the bristles are kinda frayed and it hardly picked up any product. I couldn't find the Loose Button brushes online, but I don't think that this brush is worth very much.. Oh Well!

Overall, the value of this box is definitely there! I paid $33.00 for this box, and the value is more than double that at $73.45! I would recommend this subscription box to all of my Canadian readers - you definitely get your money out of it, and Luxe Box has provided subscribers with some pretty high end samples in the past! I am totally happy with the box that I received but I cancelled my subscription, as I want to try out a wide variety of subscription services! You can sign up to receive a Luxe Box at!

  1. You got a much nicer box than I did for Fall. Would have loved some of your items. I did get the So Susan blush, which I love, and the fan brush, which I hate, but other than that, I got the teeniest (not even one use worth) prodcuts ever and yet another hairspray (who uses hairspray these days... my grandma?) Wish they would quit sending hairspray to me. I seriously think I got dollar store items. My box didn't even add up to the $33 I paid this month. My past boxes have been super luxe, but this one has me re-thinking the whole subscription. Hoping for a super duper, festively amazing holiday box for winter to make me want to renew my year's subscription.

    1. aw, I paid for the upgrade, so maybe that has something to do with it? It is unfortunate that some subsciption box companies provide super small samples. I hate getting foil packets, and tiny tubes, which is why I cancelled my Ipsy subscription! I do hope that you recieve a great box in time for the holidays though! :)

  2. woo!! thats nail shade is too adorable
