Terre Bleu Lavender Farm

Last week I was scrolling through my Instagram feed and I came across my friend's picture of the most magical place ever. Enter: Terre Bleu Lavender Farm in Campbellville, Ontario. It was love at first sight and being the photo junkie that I am, I just had to go for a visit. I didn't even know Lavender Farms were a thing, but this past weekend Collin and I ventured out to Terre Bleu and spent over an hour out in the field. It was a beautiful day and so magical - it was totally worth the drive. I hinted a few times that it would be the perfect place for an engagement photoshoot.. aha, just kidding - we are a few years away from that!

When translated from french, Terre Bleu means "blue earth." The property is just covered with rows of bright, purpley blue lavender plants, and the smell of lavender blows in the wind as you walk around - SO relaxing! Terre Bleu is not only a Lavender Farm, but it is also a Apiary, Distillery and Equestrian Stables that began in 2012. This was the first year that it was open to the public, but they have so much to offer! Unfortunately, this past weekend was the last weekend that it was open for the season, as 50% of their plants had already been harvested. They also sell a range of Terre Bleu products and flowers in their gift shop - Collin had to restrain me, as I already have an overload of products that I am currently using and testing! I thought I would share a few of the pictures that I took while we were there - the sun was so bright and the clouds were not co-operating, but in the golden hour, it would be a photographer's dream!

I was totally in awe with the farm, and I will definitely going back next season to see it again in all it's purple glory. I highly recommend that you check out their website (HERE) or Facebook Page (HERE) and add it to your list of things to do next summer, if you are ever in Southern Ontario!

  1. Wow I definitely did not know lavender farms were a thing either! Who'd have thought? Though this looks like something straight out of a fairytale! Looks like you had a perfect day!
