Real Techniques Silicone Eyeliner Brush

Real Techniques recently came out with this Silicone Liner Brush* that features a high-tech silicone tip. Real Techniques claims that this brush is the ultimate tool for smooth, precise application of liquid of cream eyeliner. This brush is supposed to make the task of applying eyeliner easier than ever, as it provides a smooth application of product without pulling or tugging the skin.

Nic Champman, the creator of Real Techniques, recommends that you apply product to the length of the brush, versus the tip, and then angle the brush sideways, parallel to your eye line, to apply product.

I wish I was able to report to you all today that this eyeliner brush is revolutionary, and it makes eyeliner a dream to apply.. However, I am unfortunately unable to do that. I like to consider myself a pro at applying both liquid and gel eyeliner, as I am able to do it quickly, and precisely every morning. However, this brush makes me question my abilities! I have tried numerous times to apply Maybelline's Eye Studio Gel Eyeliner with this brush, and each time I end up with black eyes and have to remove my eye makeup! I don't know what it is, but I have watched countless videos, and read reviews on how to apply eyeliner with this brush, but I just can't make it work for me. The line is always too thick, and choppy and does not look smooth at all. I really wish that this brush worked for me, but I much prefer the traditional angled brush for gel eyeliner!

The Silicone Eyeliner Brush is available for $8.99 at select Pharmasave's and online through Farley Co (HERE).

I do not recommend this brush as I have not had a good experience with it yet, but I will continue to try. If you have this brush and have mastered the art of applying eyeliner with silicone then please leave me your tips in the comments down below!
