Ipsy Glam Bag - March 2014

I received my Ipsy bag this afternoon & to be honest, I was a little disappointed with the products that were chosen for me. But nonetheless, here I am are ready share the products that I received.

If you are not sure what Ipsy is, it is a beauty subscription service. Each month you receive a mini makeup bag with deluxe samples, and full size beauty products!

Each bag costs $10.00 - which is an AMAZING deal. If you are interested in signing up, feel free to sign up through my referral LINK! (Thanks, xo!)

This month's theme was "Destination Beauty" -  Which is a cute theme considering that Spring is on it's way! The makeup bag this month was a little special this month. It was inspired by  San Francisco's neighbourhoods and was created by one of Ipsy's favourite local artists. To be honest, I'm not very fond of the design or the vinyl material that the bag is made out of.

The first item I received was mini version of Bare Minerals Marvellous Moxie Lipstick in the shade "Get Ready." I have never tried any Bare Minerals products before, but this shade is beautiful, and I think I will get alot of wear out of it! It also swatched beautifully. You can pick up the full size version of this lipstick online for $23.00 (HERE).

The second product that I received was Nicole by OPI's Roughles nail polish in the shade "On What Grounds?" - There are 4 shads in the collection, but this one is a pale turquoise  that will dry matte with a rough and pebbled finish. This reminds me of Easter Eggs, and I think it'll be super unique finish! Swatches will be posted late on this week! These retail for around $11.00! You can find them online (HERE).

Next, I received Pacfica's Indian Coconut Nectar Body Butter - it is super thick and moisturising! The smell is very strong and reminds me of sunscreen, but I can get over the smell because the formula is totally not sticky, and it left my hands super moisturised! This body butter retails online for $15.00 (HERE).

I also received Be A Bombshell Eyeshadow Quad in "Bora Bora"- The shades are bright, and in my opinion, not really wearable. The gold and brown are nice, and the turquoise could be a nice as an eyeliner, but not on an everyday basis. The shades are very creamy, highly pigmented, and easy to blend! This retails online for $16.00 (HERE).

Here are the swatches from the products that I received! From Top to Bottom: Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie Lipstick in Get Ready, Be A Bombshell Bora Bora Eye Shadow Quad.

The total value of the bag that I received is more than $45.00 which is an amazing deal, considering I only pay $16.00 after shipping. I was disappointed that I only received 4 products, instead of 5, and I am also very tired of Be A Bombshell products, as they are not my favourite. I may cancel my subscription if I am not satisfied after April's Glam Bag!

Have you tried any of these products before? Let me know what you think!

  1. My hands are so dry from work that this lotion might be the right product for me.
