Nail Of The Day: Snowflake Nail Art

So now that my week from hell is over, regular blogging will resume! This morning I woke up to the best thing ever - everything covered with a blanket of snow! I absolutely love winter, and since I only have one more exam at the end of the week I decided to take my time and do some snowflake nail art! I am by no means a professional at nail art, my hands were shaking the entire time, but I think they turned out quite nicely!

Blogger, and YouTuber, MissJenFabulous (to see her blog, Polish & Pearls, click HERE) inspired me to do this manicure! I used Essie's Bikini So Teeny (sparkly cornflower blue) as my base, followed by OPI's Alpine snow for the snowflakes. To make the snowflakes, I used a medium sized dotting tool, and a nail striper. There was really no method to my madness!

The shimmer in Bikini So Teeny doesn't show up too well on my nails, you can see it in the bottle though, so I used Wet & Wild's Crystallic Top Coat to add a little bit of extra sparkle - I have had this top coat for years, so I have no idea if they sell it anymore, but any sparkly top coat will work!

I thought this manicure was perfect for this time of the year, and I will be back soon to share some more holiday nail art and my go to Christmas nail look!
