OPI Take Ten Mini Gift Set

I was doing a little browsing on NailPolishCanada.com and I came across this ten piece OPI gift set! I am huge fan of OPI, so I decided to do a little pre-holiday shopping to me, from me. This gift set is limited edition for the holidays, and retails for $30.00! I thought it was a great deal, and the perfect opportunity for me to try out some colours that I have been dying to try.

The set includes 10 different shades that are perfect for everyday wear and the upcoming holiday season! The natural shades include Pirouette My Whistle (sparkly silver top coat), Alpine Snow (white), Bubble Bath (pale baby pink), Tickle My Francey (taupe mauve), and You Don't Know Jacques (taupe). The darker and red shades include Cajun Shrimp (pink toned red), Big Apple Red (classic red), German-Icure by OPI (burgundy shimmer), Malaga Wine (deep red), and Lincoln Park After Dark (purple toned black).

I think this set would make a perfect gift or stocking stuffer... or you could be like me, and buy it all for yourself! I'm not usually the one to go for a mini set, but I figured that if I loved a colour or two, it would be cheaper in the long run to just purchase two full sized bottles instead of ten.

Since this set showed up in my mailbox last week, I have only used two colours. If you are interested in seeing a more in depth review about a particular shade, let me know in the comments and I would be more than happy to do a Nail of the Day on it for you!

The first colour I used was "You Don't Know Jacques" - a beautiful, gray toned taupe. The formula is a little thin, and I only used two coats, so you can see that it's not completely opaque on a few of my nails. Three coats would have been better, but I didn't want to waste it, aha. You Don't Know Jacques is apart of OPI's classics collection.

The second polish I used was "Big Apple Red" - a beautiful classic red. This is a perfect colour for the holidays and the formula was great! Unlike You Don't Know Jacques, two coats made it totally opaque. I don't think I will be purchasing the full size of this one, as I already have a few dupes of this in my collection, but I will enjoy it over the next few weeks, as I will always pick OPI over any other nail polish brand.

What is your favourite nail polish for the holidays? I would love to try them out!
