Ipsy Glam Bag - November 2013

I got my very first Ipsy Glam Bag this morning, and I just couldn't wait to share it with you! I have been on the wait list since the end of August, so I was SO excited when I finally got the e-mail that said I would receive the November Glam Bag!

If you are not sure what Ipsy is, it is a beauty subscription service. Each month you receive a mini makeup bag with deluxe samples, and full size beauty products!

Each bag costs $10.00 - which is an AMAZING deal. If you are interested in signing up, feel free to sign up through my referral LINK! (Thanks, xo!)

This month's theme was "Glam It Up" - The makeup bag was gold snake skin, with a hot pink lining!

The first item I got was Starlooks Gem Eyeliner in Topaz - a super bright silver. It's not the most wearable colour, and I don't think that I will get much use out of it, but it was very creamy, smooth and highly pigmented. (You can find swatches for all the products mentioned down below!) This eyeliner retails for $14.00.

The second product that I received was a Lip Crayon from Be A Bombshell in the colour Shameless. It's a shimmery burgundy, and I really like it! It was super creamy, and not too drying. I have never tried a Be A Bombshell product before, so this did not disappoint! This lip crayon retails for $14.00.

Next, I received a BH Cosmetics Galaxy Chic Baked Eyeshadow in Asteroid. Again, I have never tried a BH Cosmetics eyeshadow before, so I was excited to swatch this (see last picture!). When the colours are swirled together, Asteroid is a very pretty, shimmery, purple toned brown. I am super happy with the colour I got, as I wear this shade quite often, and it complements my blue eyes! The BH Cosmetics Galaxy Chic Eyeshadow Palette with all 18 Shadows retails for $23.00.

I also received a Pixi Bronzer in the shade Subtly Suntouched. I was really disappointed when I swatched this because it is a VERY light bronzer, and it hardly shows up on my skin. I think it would work best as a highlighter shade. This product retails for $15.00.

Next, I received a Nailtini Nailpolish in Champagne. It is a really pretty Rose Gold colour, and I was SO excited to see that I got a Rose Gold nailpolish, because I have been looking for Sally Hanson's limited edition Gold Roses nailpolish for weeks. Anyways, this is my first Nailtini Nailpolish, and I am excited to try it out. Stay tuned for a Nail of the Day post! Nailtini Nailpolishes retail for $13.00 each.

And Lastly, I received the Lash Gallery Dramatic Volume Mascara from Em Cosmetics. Everyone was guaranteed to receive a full size product from Em Cosmetics, so I was excited to see what my bag had in store for me! There has been alot of hype around her lip products, so I was really hoping to receive one of those, but unfortunately I got a mascara. I was really disappointed, and then I was even more disappointed when I saw that it was a brown mascara... I am really not a fan... Anyways, I'll give it a shot and report back to you! You can pick up this mascara online for $20.00.

Here are the swatches from the products mentioned above! Sorry they are not in any order.
From Left to Right: Em Cosmetics Mascara, Pixi Bronzer, Starlooks Eyeliner, BH Cosmetics Eyeshadow, Be A Bombshell Lip Crayon.

Overall I was quite happy with the products I received in my first Glam Bag. Even though I don't think I'll use some of the products I received, the overall value of the bag was above $75.00 - which is an amazing deal! I can't wait to see what next months bag has in store!

Have you tried any of these products before? Let me know what you think!
