May Beauty Favourites!

Time Flies... I know that every Beauty Guru and YouTuber out there says it, but seriously.. Where has May gone? I can hardly believe that I have been home from university for 7 weeks! But regardless, I thought that I would share my monthly favourites with you! This past month I have been loving some different products!

I have three moisturizer that I have been loving this month! Firstly, while in the Dominican,
Hawaiian Tropic's After Sun Mosturizer kept my skin mosturized and the aloe has a cooling effect which is great for sunburns. The smell of it is quite tropical, and it can be slightly greasy.

After returning from my weeks vacation in the Dominican, my skin became very very very dry, and I started peeling.. Correction.. I was shedding skin like a snake, it was disgusting! So Gold Bond has been my life saver these past three weeks! I purchased Gold Bond's Ultimate Restoring Skin Therapy Lotion and have been applying it liberally every night after I shower. It's not a thick lotion and it doesn't leave my skin feeling greasy, but it is definitely mosturizing! While I can't carry my giant pump of Gold Bond around in my purse, I have been carrying around a tube of Gold Bond's Mosturizing Skin Therapy Cream with Aloe, it's a little thicker then the lotion, but again it's not greasy, and it has made my hands super soft, and has helped ward off any more peeling.

This month I discovered Simple's Facial Cleansing Wipes! Right before I went on vacation I ran out of make-up remover, so I picked some of these facial wipes up because I had heard so many people online rave about them, and I thought that they would be perfect for travelling! I only have a few wipes left, but I absolutely love them! They are super gentle on your skin, remove all make-up (although some of my waterproof mascara can stubborn), and they leave my skin feeling refreshed!

For Nail Polish this month I have been absolutely obsessed with Essie's Bikini So Teeny and China Glaze's Shocking Pink! They are both absolutely perfect colours for summer, the formula's are amazing-ly opaque and I can't get enough of them!

I have never used a Foundation Primer before, but a while back I received a sample size of Smashbox's Photo Finish Foundation Primer with a purchase at Sephora, so I thought it would be good to bring to the Dominican for my cousin's wedding and put it to the test. We were on the beach and in the heat for over 8 hours and my makeup stayed put. It made my foundation go on super smooth and kept my oily skin under control. I would definitely purchase the full size once I finish the sample off!

Along the lines of keeping makeup put all day, I have been loving Urban Decay's DeSlick Makeup Setting Spray! This is a old favourite of mine, but I took a while to repurchase it. I bought a full size bottle at the end of April, and I forgot how much I loved it! I love the DeSlick formula because of my oily skin, and it definitely makes my makeup last longer!

Over the past couple weeks I switched up my daily eye make-up look, and have moved from my favourite MAC eye shadows to Urban Decay's Naked 2 Palette. I'm sure you're all heard about it a million times, but I just thought I would mention my love for it. This month I have been using Bootycall over my lid, YDK packed on top, with more colour concentrated on the outside, and Tease in my crease!

For lips, I have been turning to Maybelline's Color Whisper in Pink Possibilities (65). I think that it is the perfect shade of pink for spring and summer! The formula is super creamy and moisturizing. I definitely want to pick up some different shades!

This month I have surprisingly been loving Maybelline's the Falsies Volume Express Waterproof Mascara in black. When I first tried out this product I hated it. I used it two or three times and threw it back in a drawer. This past month I dug it out again and gave it another chance. I love how it looks on my lashes, and it is definitely volumizing! However, it smudges like crazy on me and by the afternoon I have black likes on my brow bone... I use the waterproof version and I typically don't have this problem with any other mascaras so I am baffled!

I wrote a review on this product, but I just had to mention Chanel's Vitalumiere Aqua Cream Foundation as a favourite. I have loved it since the day I purchased it and it just continues to amaze me. Because this is such a mosturizing foundation, I do have to my powder my face to reduce shine in the early afternoon, but other then that I have no complaints!

This month I also rediscoverd SmashBox's Fusion Soft Lights in Baked Starburst, while packing for my trip I came across this product in my collection, and I decided to bring it along. I use this product as a highlighter, and it gives off a beautiful and natural looking glow! This product was originally bought as a bronzer, but since I'm rocking a tan, it's a beautiful highlighter shade. Smashbox also advertises this product as a blush.

And last but not least I have been loving Maybelline's Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner in Blackest Black! I love the eyeliner - it's super black and stays put all day, but I think that I love it so much this month is because I have finally mastered the art of applying gel eyeliner! I have been wearing it everyday, and I am so excited that I can get a thin and even line every time! Yay! Go Ashleigh!

I'm sorry for the crazy long post, I didn't realize I loved so many new products this month! & sorry that I didn't provide a picture for every product that I mentioned. The lighting was not cooperating, so I provided a link for each product!

What have you been loving this past May?
